Tribute From: Makrand Vyas

My father has been the cornerstone of the life of our whole family, shaping us into the persons we all are today. His influence extended far beyond words, encircling countless moments, lessons, and values that have molded our perspective and guided our path.

He has been a constant source of strength, wisdom, and love. His unwavering support and guidance have empowered us to pursue our dreams, overcome obstacles, and grow into compassionate and resilient individuals.

The depth of his impact on our life cannot be captured in a few words or pages. It’s a lifelong journey of learning, growing, and cherishing the bond we shared.

Even today whenever any of our family members navigate life’s complexities, he draws inspiration from our father’s character, patience, work ethic, and kindness.

When I speak about my father I can say with pride that he was the warmest and most affectionate soul I have ever known. His kind heart, gentle smile, and loving words had always made me feel seen, heard, and cherished. He was the rock of our family, spreading love, support, and encouragement.

My father was a beacon of integrity, consistently upholding high moral values that guided our family. His strong principles, honesty, and sense of justice inspired us to strive for excellence and do the right thing, even when faced with challenges.

His moral compass was unwavering, and his legacy continues to shape our own values and character.

During my time away pursuing my professional journey, his series of letters were a source of inspiration and guidance. His words not only motivated me to persevere but also reminded me of my responsibilities and duties towards family and society. His letters were a constant reminder of my roots and the values he infused in me, helping me stay grounded and focused on my path.

My father often fondly reminded me of my affectionate nature. He nurtured our emotional intelligence and sense of responsibility, shaping us into compassionate and caring individuals. His guidance continues to influence my relationships and interactions with others.

My father was a teacher at heart.

His passion for teaching wasn’t just about imparting information, but about inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning that would last for a lifetime. With patience, kindness, and clarity, he illuminated paths for all of our family members and his students, helping them to grow and discover their potential.

“My father was not only a mentor in academics but also a spiritual guide, offering wisdom and insights that nurtured both the mind and soul. With compassion and understanding, he shared timeless principles and values, helping us navigate life’s journey with faith, resilience, and inner peace. His spiritual guidance continues to inspire and uplift us even to today.

While summing up the memories of my life with my father, tears continue to roll down my face. Over four decades, he was my guiding light, my pillar of strength, and my unwavering support. His departure to the heavenly abode left an unfillable void, and yet, the memories we created together remain etched in my heart.

Every moment, every laughter, every tear, and every lesson he taught me comes flooding back. His presence was a blessing, and his love was unconditional. Though he’s no longer with me physically, his legacy lives on through the values he instilled in me and the love he showed me.

Writing about our journey together is a therapeutic endeavor, allowing me to relive cherished moments and honor his memory. Though words may fall short of expressing the depth of my emotions, they serve as a testament to the profound impact he had on my life.

There have been countless occasions when I felt the weight of my father’s absence. During life’s milestones, celebrations, and challenges, I have often wished he was by my side. In moments of triumph, I wanted to share my joy with him, to see the pride in his eyes. In times of struggle, I aspired for his counsel, his reassurance, and his comforting words. His absence has left a void that can’t be filled, and I have often found myself wondering what he would have said or done in those moments.

Despite the distance between us now, I know his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught me, the values he infused in me, I will continue to draw strength from the memories we created together and strive to make him proud.

Though Bhasa (my father) is no longer with us physically, his spirit lives on, and I am certain he will keep blessing us from heaven, watching over us with love and pride.
